ALBANY -- Artist Marilyn Artus stitched a strip into a suffragist flag she is taking around to state capitals in collaboration with other female artists at The Albany Institute of History and Art on Wednesday in Albany. When Her Flag is completed in August of 2020, the 36 stripes will represent the ratifying states that turned the 19th Amendment into law. Indira Cesarine is the artist who has created the art for the New York stripe.
